Titus 2:1 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
As Paul's spokesman, Titus was to pick leaders who held firmly to the message of the gospel. As he taught them, they would teach others what was consistent with the Word of God. In the verses that follow, Paul gives doctrine that are applicable today. They are not varied by cultural norms, rather they are truths that timeless. We would be wise to not only keep to them, but to teach these doctrines to others under or care. ~Dad
