Believing Despite Not Receiving, Hebrews 11:39

Believing Despite Not Receiving

Hebrews 11:39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.

When all is going well, it is easy to serve God. But, what do we do when times are tough, when nothing seems to go right, when we serve God with all our hearts, and "all these things don't seem to be added unto us" (Matt 6:33)?

K and A, you will not get everything you think you deserve. You may do right and still life is hard. There will be people who ridicule you for being a Christian, those who scoff at your lack of intelligence because you believe in God and the Bible. Don't fret. Be strong!

Remember that what you have now is nothing compared to what you will receive in eternity: if you are sinful, you will receive your reward... eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire, if you are faithful and live for the Lord no matter the hardships that come against you... eternal life with God and your Savior, Jesus Christ, forever blessed, no pain or sorrow, no crying or sadness, nor will there be any sin or evil, only happiness living in a new heaven and new earth where the old things have passed away (Revelations 21:4).

Keep believing and serving the Lord, daughters, for if you do, you will one day receive the promise God has given!

Faith Is Believeing, Believing Is Doing, Hebrews 11:28

Faith Is Believing, Believing Is Doing

Hebrews 11:28 By faith, he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.

If faith is believing, then belief is obedience. For, if we believe that God will do as he says, we will carry out our portion of his plan. Moses knew God was using him. He was no ordinary boy. In fact, he was one of a few his age that lived, because he was rescued by the king's daughter from certain death. Yet, when he grew up he refused to be call Pharaoh's grandson, instead he chose to suffer along with his people rather than choose the pleasures of sin, he chose disgrace over the treasures the world - Egypt.

So, the time comes for the last plague to commence, what will the Hebrew people do? If they have faith in what God says, they will prepare themselves and carry out God's plan, they will put the blood around the door posts, and they di so and lived. See, their faith in God was a belief that he would do as he said, so they did as they were commanded, for their faith is seen in their obedience because of belief requires action.

K and A, you do not have a true faith in God if you do not carry out what he says in his word. Like Moses, your obedience to the God's Word shows the extent of your faith and if it is a true faith, it will save you just as it did him. But if you do not believe you will do your own thing thinking God's way is silly, foolish... blood of a lamb over the door post, angel of death is coming... all this sounds crazy. But, if the didn't obey the angle of death came and  death came to their firstborn.

So, when God says, do not conform to the pattern of this world, will you try to be different? When he says to honor your father and mother, will you receive the promise of doing so? How about when the pleasures of sin entice you, will you join in with them? Your faith in God is your belief in what he says is true and you carry out his desires. Remember, it is not faith alone, rather it is faith accompanied by obedience that show if you truly believe. Daughters, choose the hardships of servanthood rather than the "joys" of sin, the disgrace of being a Christian over pleasures and riches. Be a woman of faith, so the destroyer will pass over you and you can live!

Jesus Is Looking For You, Like 15:3

Jesus Is Looking For You

Luke 15:3 Then Jesus told them this parable;

Last night was the first night of VBS and Mother and I taught the rotating classes, bible story on 3 of the lost parables. I wanted to pass on to you ladies the e4nding I told the children. The three stories were on an object, and animal, and a person. This is just my final statement before they left the class. You can read the parables in Luke 15.

Just like the lost coin, each of us were lost in sin when you were born.
Jesus is searching for you. He will find you and rejoice!

Just like the lost sheep, we all have gone astray.
Jesus will search for you. He will find you and hold you close!

Just like the prodigal son, we all do foolish things and leave our Father in heaven.
Jesus is waiting for you to come home, because he loves you. He will be very happy when you do!

A and K, You do not have to remain lost, you are worth much to Jesus! When he calls your name, run home to him! He is waiting for you.

No Other Way, Hebrews 9:22b

No Other Way

Hebrews 9:22b and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness

A & K, Many look for ways to get to heaven. They do not want to follow the commands of the Father or the Son. They do not want to put their faith in the one whom would take away their sins. They know that love requires obedience but they want to live their own way. So, they look for others way to rid their lives of sin and guilt.

Today's worldly church says believe that Jesus is real, that he took away the penalty and you can continue living your new life the same old way. But love for God requires obedience to his commands and we cannot obey if we haven't been forgiven. And that forgiveness is rooted in the death of Christ where his blood was given to purify, not just cover.

Daughters, you could live a life not trying to bother anyone, you could obey all the laws and you can even beat your body, walk marathon for peace or you name it... doesn't matter. No personal sacrifice is good enough! It takes the blood of Christ. His life is the payment, his blood the cleansing source of sins forgiven. Put your faith in his blood, there's no other way!
