7. Desire To Lead

1 Timothy 3:12. Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task.

K and A, set your heart on leading others. Don't just sit back and leave it to others. Note that this comes right after saying women are not to lead men. The following verses are then directed at men leaders. But, that doesn't mean you cannot lead. It just regulates who you can lead or how.

We need women, we need to be lead other women, to lead children, to lead in society. Much leadership is done by example. Some leadership is done straight out by commanding. And, other leadership is done by suggestion through wisdom and spiritual acumen (and I don't even know what that means but it is the right word). Desire what is noble.
