Why Saved: Part 4: To Do Good, Tutus 2:14

Why Saved: Part 4: To Do Good

Titus 2:14 who gave himself up for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

In this verse, Paul tell Titus the reasons why Christ died for us. We'll look at them separately.

Christ died because
  • He wants to save us from all sin
  • He wants to purify us from all sin
  • He wants to make us his very own
  • He wants you eager to do what is good
Christ didn't die so you could continue to live like the rest of the world. They drink and dance and party late into the night. They joke about doing evil. Things that God says are wrong are desirable to them. They hold grudges, take what belong to others, and tear people down. They act one way when they are in certain circles then are completely different around their friends. You wouldn't even know they are the same people. No, that isn't why Christ was willing to die.

Young ladies, You can live differently than those around you. That is why Jesus saved you. And, notice what the verse says: doing good is not a drudgery. It is a joy to serve God. Go and serve him with an eager heart doing what he wants. Do good!
