Doing Well, Part 1 - Physical
III John 1:2... Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well...
John was concerned about more than just the spiritual needs of others. He was concerned for their physical health as well. In his greeting, he expresses that desire for Gaius. John not only wanted him to be in good health, but he wanted him to enjoy it, to bask in the privilege of not suffering from the illness that came to many.
Do we think of the health needs of others? I know this is an common greeting yet today, but to be truly concerned for people's health is something that was a trait of Jesus when he was on earth. It needs to be ours as well.
K and A, Think of the needs of others. Hurt when they hurt. Find ways to help them. And, pray that God would intervene in their physical lives. God will use you to be a blessing to others.
