Psalm 82:1

November 14, 2015

Psalm 82:1... God presides in the great assembly; he gives judgments among the "gods"...

God is on his throne. He rules the universe. No one supersedes his authority or can thwart his decisions. In chapter 6 of Job 1 it speaks of how Satan met God on his throne to discuss what he had been doing. He had to present himself before God to give an accounting. God asked him, "So Satan, what have you been up to?" (paraphrased slightly) This is not the only place it speaks of God being on his throne.

2 Kings 22:19... Micaiah said, "Therefore, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right and on His left.

Isaiah 6:1... In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.

Daniel 7:9..."I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure wool His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire.

Matthew 5:34..."But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,

Revelations 11:20...Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

Psalm 103:19..The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.

There is no doubt that God is in control. He is sitting on his throne and Jesus has gone to be at his right hand. Christians, all who overcome the temptations of the world) will be given the right to sit with him one day. (Rev 3:21)

Can we trust God? Does he really care about us? Will he protect and direct our lives? Is he holding Satan back so we aren't destroyed? Yes he is. He would take us under his wing if we would allow him to. (Mat. 23:37)

A and K, God wants to care for you. But you must be willing for him to allow him to. One of your the greatest responsibilities in respect to this is to be obedient to his commands (Jn 14:15) Think about it. God is on his throne for a reason. He is there to judge the verse for today says. When we accept Christ we don't get a ticket. We get the freedom to chose to do right and we get a person, the Holy Spirit, to help us live it. In the end all are separated and judged "according to what they have done, both good and bad" (Mat 25:32+,  Ro 2:6). i do not say this to cause you to be paralyzed in fear. No, I say it so the truth will be know! We can rest assured that he is for us and will bring us to the end. He wants to complete the work he has begun in you ladies. (Ph 1:6) So yield your will to him and he be confident that you are under his wing.
