Psalm 4:4... In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent...

This is repeated in the NT as well in Ephesians. I have heard it said that if it says in in both testaments that it is a crucial point that the Lord is making. So, heed this command of God.

There are two thoughts added in Ephesians that are of most importance that I want you to consider. 1- do not let the sun go down on your anger. And 2 - do not give the devil a foothold.

The first is what helps Mom and me to survive in our marriage. We haven't had it too rough in our marriage of 31 years but there have been times which Anna can attest to that have been far pleasant. It has been rare when we didn't resolve it before we went to bed. Now that takes work and desire and humility. Now the issues weren't resolved, just the anger was replaced with love.

A and K, determine to put this character trait into practice, otherwise you will give the devil a foothold, and he will work to destroy your relationship and marriage. Learn love and humility and forgiveness and you have a wonderful marriage. ~Dad
