Psalm 23:3... He restores my soul, He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name sake...
Remember yesterday's verse? It was about suffering despite being good, godly. God has purposes and they are higher than our understanding and we must trust he is doing things for our best (all things turn out for the best for those that love God and are called according to his purpose, Ro 8:28).
To see this principle we need to only look to the story of Job. Look it up if you don't know it well. He suffered for God's purposes but was blessed in the end. The verse today says this... he restores my soul! Many times our soul needs restored. We must trust the one who is in control. He will bless and lift us up in his time. Remember his purposes are greater than our and he can see what is to come. We must trust him.
You two must see that God is in control of your lives. He allows the things that come into your life. He will not let you be tested or tempted beyond what you can handle.(I Cor 10:13) Remember that his restoration in automatic for those that suffer even when they are good. A and K, don't be fooled into thinking that you can do wrong and not suffer; that you will be restored when you sin against him. That takes repentance, then his forgiveness will renew your soul. So take So, trust the Lord. He is for you. He wants to guide you in paths that are righteous. Walk in them. ~Dad
