Psalm 65:9

October 28, 2015

Psalm 65:9... You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it...

"And God said, "Let the waters be gathered under the sky to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so... (Ge 1:9). God created the world. He spoke it into existence. God set in motion the operation of the universe and all its wonders. Man was created by God as well (Ge 1:27). They were created in his image; they are different than animals. And God supplies the needs of both man and animals as well as the land. (Mt 5:45, Mt 6:27 & 30)

We can be assured that God cares for us. He provides the rain that waters the earth. He warms the earth with the sun and causes the plants to grow. He feeds the birds of the air and clothes the flowers of the fields (Mt 6). God is our supplier. But he supplies more than just physical. God is the supplier of both emotional and spiritual strength as well. He is our hope and strength. "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." (Eph 6:10), "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." (Phil 4:13), But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.(2 Chr 15:7).

Well A and K, It is evident that God is here for you! You can count on him through all aspects of life. No matter what situation life places you, you can count on God to provide a way through it (Ro 8:28). He provides the strength and ability and desire to succeed. So then I have no responsibilities. Its all on God, you say? No, it's not true before salvation and it isn't after. You need to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind (Lk 10:27); that is what you have to do. How is that done? that is what the Old and New Testaments are for. They are written for you as examples of how to live (I Cor 10:11); they show you how to love God. As we do this, then we will be strengthened and the flood of joy will "stream through our lives for so he has ordained it!
