Psalm 55:22...Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fail...

In 1st Peter 5:7 it says to "cast you cares on the Lord for he cares for you." God cares about his people. Of course he cares for everyone but he especially looks out and sustains his people. The references and examples of God's abiding strength for his people is quite numerous. We see it with Adam and Eve, Abram and Sarai, Ruth, Daniel, Jeremiah, Christ, Paul, and so many more. Certainly he continues to care today (Heb 13:8).

We must rely on God in our times both good and bad. To say we will not have any trouble would be ludicrous. There are plenty of troubles. Even Jesus said, "in this life you will have trouble" (Jn 16:33). But it goes on in that verse to say that he has "overcome the world" and that we are to take heart or to expect it and plan for it and know that we too, like him and because of him and because we are his, we too will make it!

Miss A and Miss K, you must not fret when trouble comes. Instead, remember that we were told tough times will come, but when do come, he will provide strength to overcome them. So keep the truth of today's verse in your heart and mind... God will sustain you if you are righteous and he will not let you fail. These truths bring hope as we meditate on them.
