Psalm 46:1... God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble...
In the NT, it talks about how Christ wanted to care for Israel like a mother hen (Mt 23:37). God our strength, an ever-present help. That is what you need. It is what I need. If we are to make it through the tough times of life, we must rely on him. If we are to make it through the good times of life, we must rely on him.
That last part may sound funny but the good times are when God's people seem to forget about him the most. Israel did it over and over again as seen in the books of Kings and Chronicles.
A and K, seek to be holy in the good times as well as the bad. Recognize that our safety from the temptations of the world are found in him. Stay under the shelter of his wing. ~Dad
