Psalm 64:1... Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy...
Who is the enemy? With whom is our complaint against? Is it the people that tear us down, or those that embitter us? We do not fight against flesh and blood, no, we fight against the spiritual forces of evil in the heaven;y realm (Ep 6:12). God wants all to receive him (2 Pet 3:9). so when you look at the enemy, remember that the enemy is not what you see but what is behind what you see which causes what you see to do evil. They are without God.
Miss A & K, it is right to despise evil. But, it is not right to despise people. It is right to plead with God to "protect you from the threat of an enemy," You must remember that you would be like them if God would not have quickened you heart. I have said to some and to myself many times, that I would be a very wicked man if God would have not saved me from sinning and kept me from being involved in the garbage that happened in extra curricular band activities and the like. And if I grew up into today's church which says living like the world in its music and dancing and clothing, I would have taken the low road, This is easy to do when a church leader you trust says those things are okay.
I thank and praise the Lord he gave me tighter direction, or neither of you would have heard the truth of the Word from me. Seek righteousness. Honor God with your life. Flee the ways of the world so you do not turn out as I would have. Take the high road daughters. There is not as many there, but the view for the future from there is grand!
